Carrying the spirit of "Sustainable Development," Aviation Engineering Services JSC (AESC) organized the AESC CUP 2024 as a sports playground for AESC leaders and employees. The tournament was a great success, featuring thrilling matches and well-deserved results.

GRAND OPENING – THE BEGINNING OF THRILLING MATCHES

Carrying the spirit of "Sustainable Development," the AESC CUP 2024 officially kicked off on May 2nd with a lively opening ceremony. This tournament is not only a sports competition but also a platform to connect, spread teamwork, perseverance, and the burning desire for victory among players.

From the very first matchday, the games were incredibly exciting, featuring stunning plays, intense clashes, and a spirit of dedication. Players entered the field with enthusiasm and determination, promising a highly competitive and emotional season.

THREE WEEKS OF INTENSE COMPETITION – EXPLOSIVE SHOWDOWNS

After three weeks of fierce battles, the five teams from AESC showcased top-tier football, demonstrating their sporting spirit and unique team identities. Each match was a display of effort, teamwork, and intensity, bringing thrilling and unforgettable moments to the audience.

Beyond the impressive performances, AESC CUP 2024 also served as a platform to strengthen colleague relationships, promote unity, and encourage the sporting movement within the company. All teams competed with passion, determination to reach the top, and a commitment to delivering spectacular performances.

THRILLING FINAL MATCH – FC THONTHAN CLAIMS THE CHAMPIONSHIP

After a series of electrifying encounters, the AESC Sustainable Development Cup 2024 concluded with a convincing victory by FC Thonthan, who secured the championship title with a 4-2 win and took home the grand prize of 10,000,000 VND.

MEANINGFUL "SUSTAINABLE" ACTIONS BEHIND THE TOURNAMENT

"Green News" from the AESC Sustainable Development Cup 2024

The tournament was not just about sportsmanship and competition; it also embodied meaningful actions for a greener future:

  • Reducing plastic waste – No bottled water was used during the tournament. Instead, filtered water stations were set up to minimize plastic waste.
  • Recycling uniforms – Instead of ordering new uniforms, teams reused kits from previous tournaments, promoting sustainability.
  • Turning yellow cards into green contributions – At the end of the tournament, 16 yellow cards issued during the games were converted into a meaningful donation to support a tree-planting project in Xuân Liên National Park, Thanh Hóa.

This initiative is part of the "One Tree for Xuân Liên Forest" program, launched by Gaia Nature Conservation Center since January 2020. The program aims to restore degraded forests, mitigate storm and flood damage, combat climate change, improve air quality, enhance agricultural productivity, and build a large-scale botanical garden to preserve biodiversity, protect rare plant gene sources, and serve scientific research, environmental education, and eco-tourism.

These small but meaningful actions not only help reduce harmful waste but also raise awareness about environmental sustainability, proving that even the smallest gestures can contribute to a healthier planet.
